BTS’s Jungkook’s new music video racked up an amazing number of views within the first 24 hours of its release!
On July 14 at 1 p.m. KST, Jungkook made his official solo debut with the new digital single “Seven” featuring Latto, and he also released a cinematic music video for the song starring Han So Hee.
24 hours later, on July 15 at 1 p.m. KST, Jungkook’s music video for “Seven” had already amassed an impressive total of 35,489,720 views on YouTube.
Although YouTube has not yet confirmed the music video’s official 24-hour view count, it appears that “Seven” has achieved the biggest 24-hour debut of any music video released by a male K-pop artist this year.
Additionally, “Seven” now holds the record for the second-highest number of views achieved by a male K-pop soloist’s music video in its first 24 hours, bested only by PSY‘s 2013 hit “Gentleman” (which recorded over 38.4 million views within its first 24 hours).
Congratulations to Jungkook!
