BTS has hit the impressive 1.7 billion mark with yet another music video!

On August 21 at approximately 8:19 p.m. KST, BTS’s music video for their 2019 hit song “Boy With Luv” (featuring Halsey) surpassed 1.7 billion views on YouTube! This marks the group’s second music video to do so after “Dynamite” and the second Korean boy group music video to achieve this feat.

The song was originally released on April 12, 2019 at 6 p.m. KST, meaning that it took around four years, four months, and nine days to reach the milestone.

“Boy With Luv” has now also become the fifth K-pop music video to hit 1.7 billion views overall, joining the ranks of PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love,” and BTS’s very own “Dynamite.”

Congratulations to BTS!

BTS’s Jungkook Becomes 1st Korean Artist To Top Spotify’s Global Weekly Chart For 5 Consecutive Weeks

BTS’s Jungkook has set an impressive new record on Spotify’s weekly Global Top Songs chart!

Back in July, Jungkook’s single “Seven” (featuring Latto) made Spotify history as the first song by a K-pop soloist ever to debut at No. 1 on the Global Top Songs chart. The song’s record-breaking 24-hour debut also made Jungkook the first male artist from any country to surpass 15 million first-day streams with a new song on Spotify—and only the second overall, following Taylor Swift.

Over a month later, “Seven” continues its uninterrupted reign at No. 1 on Spotify’s weekly Global Top Songs chart—making Jungkook the first Korean artist in history to top the chart for five consecutive weeks.

Meanwhile, “Seven” also climbed back up the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart (widely regarded as the U.K. equivalent of Billboard’s Hot 100 in the United States) for the second week in a row. After making a historic debut at No. 3 last month, “Seven” rose to No. 24 this week, marking the song’s fifth consecutive week in the top 30.

Congratulations to Jungkook!

Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has revealed its chart rankings for the week of August 6 to 12!

A month after its initial release, “Boys Planet” group ZEROBASEONE’s debut mini album “YOUTH IN THE SHADE” rose to No. 1 on this week’s physical album chart.

THE BOYZ’s “PHANTASY: Pt.1 Christmas in August” entered the chart at No. 2, followed by n.SSign’s debut mini album “BIRTH OF COSMO” at No. 3.

Following its recent re-release, SEVENTEEN’s 2017 album “TEEN, AGE” re-entered the chart at No. 4 this week.

Finally, NCT DREAM’s latest album “ISTJ” held onto its spot at No. 5 for the week.

NewJeans achieved a quadruple crown after topping no less than four different charts this week.

The top five songs on this week’s overall digital chart and streaming chart were exactly the same: “Super Shy” remained No. 1, trailed by NewJeans’ “ETA” at No. 2, BTS’s Jungkook’s “Seven” (featuring Latto) at No. 3, Parc Jae Jung’s “Let’s Say Goodbye” at No. 4, and (G)I-DLE’s “Queencard” at No. 5.

Lee Chan Won topped this week’s digital download chart with his latest hit “Twist Go Go,” which jumped to No. 1.

THE BOYZ’s new title track “LIP GLOSS” debuted at No. 2, while NCT’s Jaehyun’s new solo song “Horizon” entered the chart at No. 3.

Finally, BTS’s V’s solo pre-release tracks “Love Me Again” and “Rainy Days” debuted at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.

Once again, NewJeans and Jungkook dominated this week’s Global K-Pop Chart, collectively sweeping all of the top five spots.

NewJeans’ “Super Shy” continued its reign at No. 1, while “ETA” and “New Jeans” held onto their respective spots at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.

Meanwhile, the clean and explicit versions of Jungkook’s “Seven” swapped spots this week, with the clean version rising to No. 2 and the explicit version falling to No. 3.

NewJeans rose to No. 1 on this week’s social chart, with BTS’s Jungkook climbing to No. 2.

FIFTY FIFTY dropped to No. 3 for the week, while BLACKPINK and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo charted separately at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.

Congratulations to all of the artists!
