BTS’s J-Hope has achieved his highest ranking yet as a soloist on the Billboard 200!
On August 27 local time, Billboard announced that J-Hope’s 2022 solo album “Jack In The Box” had re-entered its Top 200 Albums chart over a year after its initial release.
Back when “Jack In The Box” was first released in July 2022, the album was only available digitally or as a Weverse (digital download) album—but on August 18, a new physical version of the album with several bonus tracks and brand-new photos was released.
After the release of this new “HOPE Edition,” “Jack In The Box”—which previously debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 last year—re-entered the chart at No. 6, making it J-Hope’s first solo album ever to break the top 10.
J-Hope is only the fourth male K-pop soloist ever to enter the top 6 of the Billboard 200, following his fellow BTS members RM, Jimin, and Suga (as Agust D).
According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “Jack In The Box” earned a total of 50,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on August 24. The album’s total score consisted of 47,000 traditional album sales and 2,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, which translates to 2.99 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week. “Jack In The Box” also racked up 1,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units during the week.
Congratulations to J-Hope!
