THE BOYZ Tops iTunes Charts All Over The World With “PHANTASY: Pt.1 Christmas In August”

THE BOYZ is making a splash on the international music charts with their new album!

On August 7 at 6 p.m. KST, THE BOYZ made their highly-anticipated return with “PHANTASY: Pt.1 Christmas in August” and its bubbly title track “LIP GLOSS.”

Shortly after its release, “LIP GLOSS” ranked high on multiple domestic realtime charts, while “PHANTASY: Pt.1 Christmas in August” soared to the top of iTunes charts in various countries across the globe.

By 1 a.m. KST on August 8, “PHANTASY: Pt.1 Christmas in August” had already hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least nine different regions around the world, including Thailand, Singapore, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Bolivia, Ecuador, and the Philippines.

The upcoming KPOP LUX SBS Super Concert in London has announced its headliners!

On August 8, the KPOP LUX SBS Super Concert in London—which will take place over three days from September 22 to 24 next month—revealed its lineup of headliners.

The three-night London concert’s headliners are THE BOYZ, who will be performing on September 22; TXT, who will be performing on September 23; and ITZY, who will be performing on September 24.

The rest of the lineup of performing artists will be announced at a later date.

ITZY’s Chaeryeong showed off her dancing skills with a fun girl group cover medley on “Knowing Bros” (“Ask Us Anything”)!

On the latest episode of the JTBC variety show, all five members of ITZY appeared together as guests.

At one point during the show, Chaeryeong took the stage to perform a brief medley of various recent girl group hits, including IVE’s “I AM,” aespa’s “Spicy,” and LE SSERAFIM’s “UNFORGIVEN“—before ending with ITZY’s own song “None of My Business,” one of the tracks off their brand-new mini album “KILL MY DOUBT.”

The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) has announced its nominees!

On August 8 local time, MTV officially revealed the nominations for this year’s award ceremony—and multiple K-pop groups made the list.

BLACKPINK snagged nominations in four different categories, making them the most-nominated group this year. The girl group was nominated for Best Choreography, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, and Best K-Pop (all for their hit single “Pink Venom“).

Meanwhile, TXT scored two nominations this year: one for Push Performance of the Year and one for Best K-Pop (both for their latest title track “Sugar Rush Ride“).

This year’s nominees for Best K-Pop are aespa’s “Girls,” BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom,” FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid,” SEVENTEEN’s “Super,” Stray Kids’ “S-Class,” and TXT’s “Sugar Rush Ride.”
