NewJeans has scored their first music show trophy for “ETA”!

On the August 10 broadcast of Mnet’s “M Countdown,” the candidates for first place were NewJeans’ “ETA” and ITZY’s “CAKE.” NewJeans ultimately took their first win for “ETA” with a total of 6,136 points.

Update: World Scout Jamboree “K-Pop Super Live” Concert Announces New Lineup Of Performers And MCs

IVE will also be performing at the World Scout Jamboree “K-Pop Super Live”!

On August 10, it was confirmed that IVE will once again be joining the performer lineup for “K-Pop Super Live.”

Although it was initially uncertain whether IVE will be participating at the concert due to the event being postponed, Minister Park Bo Gyoon of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism shared, “In order to keep their promise to appear at the concert [initially scheduled for August 6], IVE voluntarily adjusted their other scheduled activity.”

The 25th World Scout Jamboree “K-Pop Super Live” will take place on August 11 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

The World Scout Jamboree “K-Pop Super Live” concert has finally unveiled the new lineup of performing artists and MCs!

Initially, the World Scout Jamboree “K-Pop Super Live” was scheduled to take place on August 6 at an outdoor stadium in Saemangeum but was postponed to August 11 due to the heat wave and safety concerns. After initially opting for Jeonbuk World Cup Stadium as the new location, the event will now be held at Seoul World Cup Stadium as the Jamboree campsite was moved to Seoul due to Typhoon Khanun.

On August 9, the 2023 World Scout Jamboree Organizing Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially announced that Gong Myung, ITZY’s Yuna, and NewJeans’ Hyein will be the new MCs for the event.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Park Bo Gyoon also added, “The lineup of 18 teams that will be performing at the ‘K-Pop Super Live’ has been confirmed. These top artists will vibrantly showcase the essence and charm of K-culture at a concert that will bring together 40,000 young scouts from 150 countries around the world.”

The new lineup includes NewJeans, NCT DREAM, ITZY, MAMAMOO, THE BOYZ, MONSTA X’s Shownu X Hyungwon, fromis_9, ZEROBASEONE, Kang Daniel, Kwon Eun Bi, Jo Yu Ri, P1Harmony, KARD, THE NEW SIX (TNX), ATBO, xikers, Libelante, and dance crew HolyBang.

THE BOYZ Tops iTunes Charts All Over The World With “PHANTASY: Pt.1 Christmas In August”

THE BOYZ is making a splash on the international music charts with their new album!

On August 7 at 6 p.m. KST, THE BOYZ made their highly-anticipated return with “PHANTASY: Pt.1 Christmas in August” and its bubbly title track “LIP GLOSS.”

Shortly after its release, “LIP GLOSS” ranked high on multiple domestic realtime charts, while “PHANTASY: Pt.1 Christmas in August” soared to the top of iTunes charts in various countries across the globe.

By 1 a.m. KST on August 8, “PHANTASY: Pt.1 Christmas in August” had already hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in at least nine different regions around the world, including Thailand, Singapore, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Bolivia, Ecuador, and the Philippines.
