ENA’s upcoming drama “Day of Kidnapping” (literal title) has released a brand new poster!

Based on a novel of the same name, “Day of Kidnapping” is a black comedy about a special collaboration between a sloppy kidnapper and an 11-year-old genius girl. Yoon Kye Sang takes on the role of Kim Myung Joon, a first-time kidnapper who abducts an 11-year-old girl to raise money for his daughter’s hospital fees. Yoo Na of “Pachinko” plays the genius girl Choi Ro Hee who has a cynical and exceptional mind despite her young age and forms a strange bond with Kim Myung Joon.

The newly released poster hints at Kim Myung Joon’s perilous journey. At night, Kim Myung Joon and Choi Ro Hee board a bus heading to an unknown destination. While Kim Myung Joon appears to be on alert as if he’s being chased by someone, what captures the audience’s interest is Choi Ro Hee’s mirrored demeanor, suggesting that she’s now in the same boat with her captor following an unexpected partnership between them.

The production team of “Day of Kidnapping” commented, “A novice kidnapper, Kim Myung Joon, and a genius girl, Choi Ro Hee, form an unexpected alliance. Their journey will be dynamic and entertaining. Please keep an eye on the evolution of their relationship through the twists and turns of events.”

ENA’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama “Day of Kidnapping” (literal title) has released a new poster and a teaser!

In the newly released poster, an old television has a breaking news report displayed on screen with the text, “CCTV footage of missing 11-year-old girl secured.” Unlike Kim Myung Joon, who seems to be taken aback after discovering the CCTV, Choi Ro Hee leads him with a calm facial expression. The contrast between the two whose attitudes seem to be reversed stimulates viewers’ curiosity.

The teaser video which was released along with the poster previews an extraordinary relationship between kidnapper Kim Myung Joon and kidnapped girl Choi Ro Hee. In a bleak house, Choi Ro Hee’s sobbing resonates in the kitchen as Kim Myung Joon chops something with a knife while wearing sunglasses in the dark. When the flickering lights are turned on, the atmosphere of the clip changes all at once. The reason Ro Hee sheds tears and the reason Myung Joon has a knife in his hand are revealed to be because of the onions that Myung Joon is preparing.

In what appears to be an ordinary father-and-daughter relationship, the conversation between the two who are sitting face to face and preparing a meal together creates laughter with an unexpected and delightful twist. On top of this, the text that reads, “Not kidnapping but parenting,” raises viewers’ anticipation for the story that clumsy kidnapper Myung Joon and genius girl Ro Hee will draw out together.
